REVISION PROCEDURES

Revision procedures are most commonly performed for patients who have cosmetically unacceptable results following repair of lacerations sustained during vaginal delivery. As with any revision cosmetic surgery procedure, these procedures are highly specific to each individual patient. Dr. Alford will work closely with you to understand your expectations prior to surgery and create a surgical plan that will address your concerns. These procedures are variable, and can take 30 minutes to 4 hours; they will be performed under general anesthesia in our accredited surgical center. Patients will return home the same day as surgery. The ideal candidate for this procedure is healthy, does not vape or smoke, at or near their ideal weight, and desires revision cosmetic surgery to address specific cosmetic gynecologic concerns.
